Review of Still Thinkin' by Robert Grigg:
Excellent CD with tons of great guitar work. The first standout on the cd is Mad & Blue. It is a catchy tune with excellent performances thru & thru. The next couple of tracks (Light Up & Enjoy and Hot Rod) are a couple light, almost free floating, nicely done instrumentals. The next song "New Car Blues" shows Robert to be a quite an accomplished harmonica player rocking out in the middle of this neat song.
Other nice tunes are El Producto, Yes Mr. Floyd & the stellar Holla Beck. All & all
this CD is packed with the great guitar work with come to expect from Robert!

"I'm am not a guitar player but I am a big fan of local and regional musicians and bands and I have, over the years (lots of them, cause I AM an old fart), heard 100's of them . When I listen to a new lead guitar player I always use Robert Grigg as my reference level ( you electronic types know what I am talking about) for deciding if they are bad, good or outstanding. He has set the bar very high. Once I retire, maybe I will get you to teach me how to pick a little... Just for fun."

Hey bro, I am transferring your music to my mp3 player. I am working at a local Austin nightclub on Tuesday and Wednesday as the sole bartender and I am allowed to play my mp3 music when there's no acts playing if I want. So you will be appearing at an eclectic Austin music venue next week, lol. It's called the Carousel Lounge, established in 1963. Just wanted to let you know and ok it with you.

I will be truly honored! I find repeated listening to this Cd to be funner that any other CD I've ever made and I don't know why. It seems to always leave me smiling. Not trying to brag, it's just how I feel about it. I must figure out how to repeat the process on future projects. Feel free to plug it anytime at any place. Hell, ain't nobody gonna steal that! Ain't nobody got time fo dah! Wow! Austin! I hit da bigtime! Har Har

I am on my second listen to Track 5, I am going to send a copy to Skip and see what he does, I will send you that. Excellent tweaking.
I get that. No effects. What are you playing through? I am on Track 7 now, unbelievable
From Albert P.
Got it last weekend. took it over Joey Ellington's house and we listened to it. Good work. it's in my car now; meant to play it for Charlie Groschen - Kenny's brother but didn't get a chance to. Thanks! It's an awesome CD.

About Still Thinkin'.
The songs are more song-like on this recording; tunes like Surf Party and El Producto have strong melodic components, as does the entire record in contrast with your earlier work.
This is clearly your best effort to date; I think you're on the right track (pardon the pun;-)
Cheers!
From Robert Grigg to you all!
I really can't thank you all enough. You are the reason I will keep working like this!
