Scott's Autobio
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
I was born a poor black child, and was dropped on my head (many times) when I was young.  After graduating High School, and VoTech I worked a couple of jobs (in no particular order) as a:  landscape technician, Santa Fe Railroad get-her-done, airport facilities maintenance guy, grocery stocker, burger and pizza 'chef', factory licensed motorcycle mechanic, night manager in a 7-11, builder of houses, construction equipment sales, medical supply sales, bartender, auto parts sales, cab driver, and a record store manager... all of these seemed to have their high-points, for a  while... So many stories.

In 1979, I got really bored and enlisted in the Navy to 'see-the-world,' and work on aviation electronics.  I was very fortunate to get stationed/live in Memphis, Jacksonville, Bermuda, Key West, Hawaii, Sicily, Iceland, and Japan.  I used these locations as a 'Home Base' for further travels into Europe and Asia... I learned that some of my passions are:  fast boats on the water at night, flying airplanes and gliders, scuba diving, surfing, drinking expresso, and maybe an occasional sake, in a hot bath.

Along the way, I married a girl from the Keys.  She is still my favorite Melody.  We have two very fine sons (both born in Japan) that can hold a tune, and keep a beat!  We retired, in Jacksonville, from the Navy in 1999...  I then went to work as an Electrical Engineering Technician for a consulting firm before being hired by the NADEP.  Oh yes, and I am in this here Rock and Roll band...
